I like to think of myself as a modern folk artist. I hope the lively color, texture, pattern and whimsy draw you in and leave you with a feeling of delightful reflection. Assemblages are made of wood, paint, paper ephemera, found objects and my own handcrafted metal elements. I love vintage tins for their nostalgic, pop art appeal. As I work a word or phrase often emerges to tell the story, finding its way into the finished piece. I love the spark of joy that comes from creative discovery and I try to convey that in my art.
